Reason: Somehow, I squeaked on to the Longlist for the Writescape Postcard Story Contest, along with five other amazing writers: Helen Bajorek-MacDonald, Adam Conway, Deb Rankine, Lisa Reynolds and Ann Rocchi.
Congratulations to everyone and good luck!
Honestly, I struggle with the whole self-doubt thing on a daily basis as a writer, so this was the best news I’ve received all week. I’m presently on an editing vacation whipping my current Crime Thriller manuscript into shape, so this news gives me a tiny boost of confidence that my writing isn’t that bad… someone actually liked my last story (and I couldn’t be happier).
